Drugs Don't Work Webinar to Address Workplace Legal Issues

I hope that everyone had a safe and healthy Memorial Day weekend.  It’s hard to believe that we are entering into the last week of May. At the Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey (PDFNJ), we are continuing our virtual programing with our free Statewide Webinar on Legal Issues for a Drug-Free Workplace from 1 – 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2. This webinar comes at a good time for employers as New Jersey begins to reopen businesses.

The webinar is part of our workplace prevention program, Drugs Don’t Work in NJ, which was established to help business owners and public sector employers combat issues relating to drug use in the workplace and ensure their workplaces are drug-free. This webinar will examine the potential consequences of marijuana legalization on the New Jersey workplace and guidance on how to create a comprehensive drug-free workplace policy.

The featured speaker, Nancy N. Delogu, Esq., is a nationally recognized authority on federal and state drug-free workplace and drug testing issues. She will focus on the legal and legislative implications of the potential legalization of recreational marijuana, as well as compliance issues that New Jersey businesses might face.

Marijuana dispensaries have been deemed essential and have remained open during the COVID-19 pandemic, and more than 70,000 residents of New Jersey are authorized to use medical marijuana.

We hope that you will join us for this informative webinar next week. If you would like to learn more about any other virtual programs PDFNJ is offering, please click here. As always, reach out to us with any questions or let us know how we can help.

Please continue to stay safe and well.
