Throughout the last few months, I have shared with you about the upcoming Knock Out Opioid Abuse Day -- and October 6th is just days away. This day is an opportunity to shine a light on the evolving opioid crisis, help reduce stigma, show support for those in recovery, and share information and resources in our schools, families, workplaces, and communities.
We are pleased to have Dr. Wilson M. Compton, Deputy Director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) of the National Institutes of Health as the Keynote for Friday's webinar. He will provide an overview of the current state of the evolving opioid crisis with his presentation Drug Addiction, Science, and the US Overdose Epidemic. The Knock Out Opioid Abuse Day webinar will be held this Friday, October 6 at 11:00 AM.
It is not too late to get involved! Join our efforts by sharing important information about opioids and the evolving opioid crisis with your family, friends, and neighbors on Friday and throughout the month. Every action or share makes a difference in our goal to raise awareness about New Jersey’s opioid crisis.
