PDFNJ & PSEG Foundation Bring Substance Use Prevention Efforts to the Classroom

In June, I visited Alan B. Shepard Jr. Elementary School in Old Bridge to join the PSEG Foundation in delivering the annual Third Grade Life Choices Coloring and Activity Book to students. This initiative, generously supported by PSEG, helps young people make healthy decisions regarding drugs and alcohol.

The children demonstrated their understanding of the issue with insightful questions and answers, a testament to the efforts of their teachers, Principal Joe Marinzoli, and Old Bridge police Detective  Pat D’Onofrio.

We appreciate Maria Spina and Calvin Ledford of the PSEG Foundation for supporting the program and meeting the students. We also thank Superintendent Dave Cittadino and Police Chief Thomas Montagna for their dedication to the safety and health of the children. Initiatives like these thrive through the collective efforts of these community members.
