We are 10 days away from Knock Out Opioid Abuse Day in New Jersey and as we prepare to commemorate our 8th Annual Day of Awareness and Education I am so gratified by how many NJ residents, business owners, clergy, students, and government officials have signed on to help share resources and information in their communities.
The opioid epidemic continues to evolve with new emerging threats and continues to take too many lives. Synthetics like fentanyl and xylazine are topics have been discussed and recently, information has emerged on nitazenes - synthetics that are 1,000X more potent than morphine and 10X more powerful than fentanyl. Our efforts to curb the tide of this epidemic cannot stop!
Awareness and education are just a few of the tools we have in combating this crisis - and I hope you will consider helping raise awareness of this crisis by sharing information with your community, neighbors, friends, or family and especially on Knock Out Opioid Abuse Day, October 6th.
