Drug-Free New Jersey’s Annual Drug-Free Workplace Webinar

In our ongoing effort to promote prevention and education, the Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey will host its annual drug-free workplace webinar: “What Does Being a Drug-Free Workplace Mean in 2026?” at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 10.

Focused on legal compliance and contemporary challenges, the webinar will explore recent legal and legislative developments, including the impact of marijuana use on the workplace and relevant court decisions. Nancy N. Delogu, an attorney at Littler Mendelson, P.C., and an expert on substance use in the workplace will be the primary presenter. She will be joined by Lauren J. Marcus, shareholder for Littler Mendelson P.C., who represents and advises New Jersey employers in various aspects of employment law. WRNJ’s Morning Program and B•Inspired podcast host Bert Baron will moderate the discussion.

Businesses, community agencies and not-for-profits (even those with just a few employees) all benefit from having their drug-free workplace policies and procedures up to date. Employees experiencing a mental health crisis or other issues will often turn to alcohol, marijuana or other drugs and thereby exacerbate their problem. Therefore, having an up-to-date drug and alcohol policy in place could very well help an employee early on and thereby prevent a substance use disorder from developing.

This webinar is part of PDFNJ’s drug-free workplace program, Drugs Don’t Work in NJ, which provides free technical assistance to those interested in establishing or updating their drug-free workplace policies and procedures.
