Prevention-themed Vehicle Litter Bags Distributed Throughout New Jersey

The Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey (PDFNJ) distributed 50,000 prevention-themed Vehicle Litter Bags throughout New Jersey with assistance from the Car Wash Operators of New Jersey. This year PDFNJ’s themed litter bag was on the GetSmartNJ campaign. The litter bag particularly focuses on one of the four components of this campaign, “Shooting Gallery.” Shooting Gallery allows New Jersey Parents to educate themselves about steroids and other designer drugs by visiting GetSmartNJ.org. The Car Wash Operators of New Jersey will distribute these litter bags to New Jersey car wash facilities to give to their customers.

The Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey and the New Jersey Turnpike Authority wanted to give back to New Jersey Motorists during this holiday season. Over 300,000 prescription drug abuse theme litter bags were given to motorists at all toll booths during the holiday season on the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway, as a reminder and warning to New Jersey parents and caregivers of how kids are choosing to get high.
