Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey Takes
Leading Role on Panel to Address Fentanyl Crisis

MILLBURN, NJ —The Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey’s executive director, Angelo Valente will join a panel of experts for a free webinar hosted by the National Center for Advocacy & Recovery (NCAAR) from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, in recognition of National Fentanyl Awareness Day. This collaborative event aims to unify efforts across prevention, family education and recovery communities to tackle the fentanyl crisis effectively.

The session will include a screening of The New Drug Talk, followed by a panel discussion and a question-and-answer session moderated by NCAAR Community Coordinator Tonia Ahern, who has lost her son to a drug overdose. Other panelists include Rebecca Alfaro, Deputy Executive Director of the Governor's Council on Substance Use Disorder (GCSUD); Fred Muench, Founder of Clear30 and former President of the Partnership to End Addiction; and Denise Mariano, Vice President of Partnerships at Song for Charlie.

“This webinar underscores our unified commitment to mobilizing resources and knowledge to combat the fentanyl crisis,” said Valente. “It exemplifies the ongoing efforts to lead impactful conversations and actions that can save lives and strengthen communities.”
