Girl Scout's Gold Award Project Brings AMCC Dropbox to East Orange

10/4/2016

An AMCC Medicine Dropbox was brought to the East Orange, New Jersey, community with the concerted efforts of Alexis Lobaina as her Girl Scouts Gold Award project.  From left to right is Sgt. Yasmine Johnson, East Orange Police Dept. Community Relations; Alexis Lobaina; Chief Phyllis L. Bindi; and Joel Torres, ADAPT Senior Coordinator.  AMCC is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey, which was founded by Alexis’ grandfather, Joseph (J.P.) Miele.  Alexis is very aware of how important it is to have a Dropbox in every community and was happy to coordinate this effort so that East Orange residents will have the means to safely dispose of their unused, unwanted and expired prescription medicines.  The Dropbox is located at the East Orange Police Department, 15 South Munn Avenue in East Orange, New Jersey, and is available 24/7.
