JOB TITLE: Prevention Education Coordinator
 
REPORTS TO: Director of Opioid Response and Prevention Outreach Services and Executive Director
MAIN FUNCTION: Coordinate all aspects of PDFNJ School Based & Community Education programs
 
Primary Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the coordination of all prevention education programs, for schools, community residents and other groups and organizations
 
2. Assist with planning meetings and the creation of school based/community prevention education and awareness promotional materials, events and initiatives.
 
3. Assist in creating/designing/presenting/coordinating addiction prevention assets and activities such as conferences, symposiums, PPT presentations, videos, program guides, invitations, social media updates, print and digital PSAs related to school based and community education programs and initiatives.
 
4. Oversee all aspects of the 3rd Grade, 4th Grade and Middle School Initiatives: including, mailing list development, promotion, initial mailing production, art work, initial bids, printing, dissemination, database input maintenance, any other task deemed necessary to complete to project.
 
5. Assist Director of Special Events in all aspects of the 5th Grade Parent Alert: including, mailing list development, promotion, initial mailing production, art work, initial bids, printing, dissemination, database input maintenance, grant updates, translation coordination, and any other task deemed necessary to complete the project.
 
6. Work in tandem with PDFNJ Director of Opioid Response and Prevention Outreach Services, Media Coordinator and Director of Special Events
 
7. Maintain records of all correspondence, mailing lists, etc. for projects.
 
8. Respond promptly to inquiries and requests.
 
9. Assist with agency content development for school/ community education program related website, social media content
 
10. Assist in e-mail campaigns to promote school based/ community education programs
 
11. Develops social media content, including video, photography and works with media team for content generation and management related to community prevention education
 
12. Assist in the review effectiveness of media efforts for monthly reports.
 
13. Perform other related tasks when requested
 
 
Education
Bachelor Degree in Communication, Marketing or related field.
 
Experience
One year's previous experience in communication related field
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook Excellent communications skills, both in speech and writing
 
Other Requirements
Besides fulfilling the responsibilities listed above and noted in the PDFNJ personnel manual, the individual must possess the following: excellent communication skills, well organized in order to meet assigned deadlines, detail oriented, creativity, flexibility, and have the ability to establish a good working relationship with other staff members and other individuals in the prevention field.
